These pictures are horrible to look at, but they are horribly important to see. This is the brutal reality of animal auctions and kill pens; when animals are only equivalent to the number on the scale for meat production. This is why we need to rescue. This is why I rescue. I spend my days finding way to fundraise and coordinate with local farms to quarantine. I am a fierce advocate for the humane treatment of all animals because no animal deserves the treatment these photos display. It is my mission to find every horse a loving, forever home.
